Instructions for use:
A tactical tourniquet is designed for the compression of a so-called "war wound" which can only be managed by compression of a lower or upper limb.
- The tactical tourniquet must be placed upstream of the wound. Never place it on a joint.
- Tighten the tourniquet by pulling firmly on the strap.
- Use the clamp system and turn the rod until the blood stops flowing.
- Insert the rod into the rigid plastic hooks.
- Note the time of application of the tourniquet Note the time the tourniquet was applied on the label.
To ensure the victim's safety, the tourniquet must be loosened or removed by a person familiar with the procedure.

Recommendations:
A tourniquet should not be applied for more than two hours. A label on the tourniquet indicates the time of application, which is essential for the medical team taking over. Once the tourniquet has been applied, only a doctor can loosen it, as the wound may be accumulating toxins. Finally, the tourniquet must remain visible and uncovered, so as not to be forgotten. In addition, a victim should always be laid down to allow the remaining blood to flow back up to the vital organs, including the brain, heart and lungs.
